Besides making the good sales of locomotives and rolling stocks, ELC is actively engaged in railway product manufacturing fields through cooperation and joint venture, and makes great efforts to expand the business scope of railway products, and tries to reach the advanced international level by technological cooperation and innovation.

In March,2001, ELC bought out the formal stated-owned "Guangzhou Refrigerator Factory", and then renamed it as Guangzhou Refrigerator Co., Ltd.(GRC). In July 2001,GRC signed a contract for supply of refrigerators on Metro Line 2 with Spanish Albatros Railway Vehicle System Co.,Ltd. and Guangzhou Metro Company.

With the increase in the reconstruction of domestic electric lines and electric locomotives, ELC and Datong Locomotive Works jointly invested in research and manufacturing of locomotive pantograph project. Thanks to its qualified products and ELC takes more than 90% market share in pantograph.

While investing in refrigerator unit and pantograph projects, ELC cooperated with other railway equipment companies in dealing with interior equipment and electric products, seeking for the overall entry into the railway product market.
