The maximum operation speed of domestic passenger locomotives is 180km/h, freight wagon is 120km/h, the maximum service power of diesel locomotive is 6000HP, and that of electric locomotive is 8000HP. ELC can provide diesel locomotives and electric locomotives of different power grades. According to the request of traction load, the use of double-heading operation can be realized with the maximum locomotive axle load of 25 t. All the electric products and key parts of locomotive are designed and manufactured utilizing advanced foreign technologies.

At present, the domestically manufactured passenger coaches's maximum experiment speed is 270 km/h and their maximum operation speed is 200 km/h. The desogn, manafacturing capacity of Chinese interior equipment(passenger coach equipment and interior electric) has reached the advanced international level, capable of providing supporting products to Siemens, Alstom and Bombardier and other international railway equipment companies.

Chinese passenger coaches have been exported to Venezuela,Iran,Pakistan,Namibia,Turkmenistan and many Southeast Asian countries.
